Introducing Our New Craft Bar Packaging: Craft Meets Functionality

Our new packaging is a perfect blend of style and substance. The exterior is made from craft paper, which provides a beautiful, natural look and feel. Meanwhile, the interior is made from plastic to provide a reliable barrier that protects the chocolate bars from moisture, oxygen, and other external factors that could affect their quality.

While we recognize that plastic is not a sustainable material, we had to prioritize the need for a water barrier to ensure our chocolate bars stay fresh and delicious. We could not find a reliable composable water barrier material, yet. Nevertheless, these packages are recyclable we are continuously exploring new options and working with our suppliers to find more sustainable materials for our packaging.

The Secret Ingredient

The key to our new packaging solution was finding a printer that could print white ink. We would like to express our gratitude to Spinnaker for this valuable tip! This capability enabled us to use craft paper as our exterior layer while still maintaining a professional look and feel.

We moved away from the cellophane and white label design that we previously used, which not only lacked functionality but also added to our carbon footprint. Our new packaging is more durable and reduces waste, while enhancing the customer experience.
