The Deconstructed Sipping Chocolate

How we enjoy chocolate is changing in America. There is a deeper understanding of what chocolate is, why it is so precious, and how high quality beans can showcase outstanding craft chocolate flavors.

For the boldest flavor experience, we recommend melting it down and serving as a sipping chocolate or a hot chocolate. Start here if you are new to working with chocolate or cocoa.

The deconstructed sipping chocolate is a variant preparation method that keeps the cream separate from the chocolate.

"Why would anyone do this?!", we asked the chocolate maker.

"Because it's delicious!", Aaron retorted immediately. "This is an extra fluffy, light and lazy, gourmet dessert. Sometimes you are entertaining and need a last minute, spur of the moment dish. I recommend this method especially in the summer, when you want cool and creamy desserts."

He explains that as long as you have a can of whipped cream in the fridge and some of our untempered (crumbly) craft sipping chocolate on hand, you have a fancy desert ready to go.

"If you are feeling extra gourmet, you can make your own whipped cream!", he says.

Each bite will give you that cool, light flavor of vanilla and foamed cream, and then the chew and crunch of complex chocolate.

Aaron says, "This is one of the only time we encourage you to chew your chocolate. But you should still do it slowly and savor every bite."

If you are excited to try this at home, go here to shop for sipping chocolate.
