Recipe: 2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

This 2 ingredient chocolate mousse using one of our Rainbow Collection PNW Spiced Chocolate Bars will save you time in the kitchen and give you more time with the ones you love. For this recipe we used the Rosemary, Blackberry Honey, and Alderwood Smoked Sea Salt chocolate bar. This chocolatey dessert is creamy and rich served cold with whipped cream on a beautiful summer's day.

Chocolate Mousse - ingredients

    1 Intrigue Chocolate spiced bar, chopped (3.5oz)
    1 cup cup heavy cream, divided

Directions:

  • In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup cream until steaming.
  • Remove from heat and add chopped chocolate. Stir until completely combined.
  • Pour chocolate into a medium bowl and set aside to cool.
  • With the remaining 1/2 cup of cream, add to a small bowl and beat with a hand mixer on medium-high until stiff peaks form.
  • Fold the whipped cream into chocolate mixture in 3- 4 additions. Work quickly but gently until streaks have just disappeared.
  • Pour mixture into serving containers and place in fridge. Chill for at least four hours.

Whipped Cream - ingredients

    1/4 cup heavy cream
    1 teaspoon granulated sugar

Directions:

    Add all ingredients to a medium sized bowl.
    With a mixer, beat on medium-high until soft peaks form.
    Top mousse with whipped cream and any other toppings you like.

Pro-tips:
  • You can use this recipe as a cake filling or in a pie shell for a quick chocolate mousse pie.
  • Get creative with toppings: roasted nuts, chocolate shavings, or fresh fruit.
